Lower Third
I studied screenwriting in film school and am such a fan of using 3-act structure for telling stories that I even apply the concept to pieces as short as a lower third.
So, even this has a beginning, middle, and end. First, the background image unfolds followed by a red streak--this draws the viewer’s attention to that part of the frame. Then, the text animates in and its appearance doesn’t feel abrupt because that space already has the viewer’s eye. Finally, the red slash retracts to kick off the outro animation which is a simplified version of the intro, but in reverse, to give it a sense of symmetry and a throughline.
