(Momentum 2022 Show Opener)

My motion graphics designer and I worked 12+ hour days and weekends for 3 weeks to create this piece and it almost didn’t get played.

Between long render times, mediocre up/download speeds, FTP-server file-size limitations, and last-minute spec changes from the venue, this video made it from California to the mainstage in DC with only a few hours to spare. And those were just the technical challenges.

Creative challenges included working with a still-evolving brand, condensing 100+ disparate company milestones down to ~40 into a cohesive throughline, limited source material, and creating a piece that speaks to both long-time veterans of the company as well as new team members. 

Despite all that, I walk away grateful that I had an amazing motion graphics designer (Chanjue Yu) at my side and that I was able to test my capabilities as not just a video editor, but as a creative director.
